“A fantastic trek exploring the cultures of locals of Nepal

Located in mid eastern region of Nepal the Ganesh Himal Trek presents massive Himalayan sceneries, holy natural and glory views with friendly locals. The name Ganesh means elephant-headed god of good fate. The Ganesh Himal can be seen obviously from  Kathmandu city.  A great Himalayan chain Ganesh has named as a Ganesh Himal (I), ganesh Himal (II), Ganesh Himal (III). The great Himalayan range controlled between the Budhi Gandaki and Bhote Koshi River, which known as Trishuli River in lower part.

The Ganesh Himal trekking itinerary begins with few hours drive to Dhunche highway crossing lower farm fields and ethnic Tamang Village villages. Throughout the trek you will have an opportunity to view the Ganesh Himal, Buddha Himal, langtang Himalayan range from the high point of this trek Shingla pass at 4200m and Pasang La pass at 4100m. The Ganesh Himal Trekking ends at Dhading Besi.

Note: The Ganesh Himal Trek is fully organized trek our trekking porters will carry your all languages and camping equipments, our experienced cook will prepare all meals and Sherpa will fix the tents.

The Ganesh Himal Base Camp trek region has not teahouses and lodges facilities so we should prepare everything from Kathmandu however, the local houses are available to have simple Nepali foods.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to standard Hotel at Thamel
Welcome to Nepal, our official representative carrying a signboard with our Company name including your name will be there on Airport for you. They will take you to the standard hotel of Thamel where you will be staying overnight. Today, there is no planning, but our team will be discussing your Ganesh Himal Trek.

Day 02: Trek preparation and sightseeing around Kathmandu
Early in the morning, we give you full details about the trek, itinerary and routes. We introduce your trekking guides and porters. You can test them as per your desire and doing so is essential because you will be cooperating throughout the trek with them. Afternoon, we go for a sightseeing tour to World Heritage sites of Kathmandu, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath, Patan Durbar Square and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Tonight, enjoy singing, dancing in the hotel.

Day 03: Drive to Betrawati from Kathmandu (850 m) – 5 Hours
The real trekking journey begins from the third day of the trek. We drive through Trishuli Bazaar towards Betrawati from Kathmandu. Trishuli Bazaar is the major Shopping area where people sell varieties of food items, clothing, electronic gadgets, etc. The day is also known as Camping Day. We arrange camps on Sole Bazaar where you can observe beautiful landscapes of terrace lands, village area, and farming fields. Tonight, stay at Camp, cook food, enjoy with the fire, dancing and singing together.
Day 04: Betrawati to Kispang (1,600 m)-5 Hours
We trek slowly observing the beauty of Betrawati village. The trekking trails pass through farmlands and communities. After a few hours of trekking, we reach Kispang village which is a village of Tamang people. They depend totally upon farming which is the primary source of income to them. Tonight stay at tented Camp in Kispang village.

Day 05: Kispang to Thulo Chaur (2,200 m)- 5 Hours
Today is ascending day, not so difficult but would make your body lazy. Climbing passes through the monasteries, temples, schools, river and the waterfalls. After 5 hours of struggling walk, we reach Thulo Chaur where we stay at Tented Camp for the night.

Day 06: Thulo Chaur to Gonga (2,900 m)- 4 Hours
The ascending portion of the Ganesh Himal Trek increases. We pass through the beautiful rhododendron and pine forest where you can witness some wild lives including Monkies, wild bear, and Deer. Today’s destination will fascinate you with the beautiful view of Ganesh Himal range. Overnight stay at Tented Camp.

Day 07: Gonga to Rupchet (3,635 m)- 4 Hours
We trek further high passing through the deep forest. The trek would give you lots of pleasure with the dynamic landscapes of Tibetan mountain ranges and Himalayan Chain. Tonight, we stay at the camping site of Rupchet.

Day 08: Rupchet to Kharka via Shing La Pass (2,500 m)- 7 Hours
The most exciting part of the trek, Shing La Pass would bring all sorts of happiness and joyous in your face. On the trail, you can witness spectacular views of Mt. Ganesh Himal, Langtang, And Mt. Manaslu. Heading down the pass for about 4 hours, we reach Kharka where we stay for the night in a tented camp.

Day 09: Karka to Borang (1,800 m)- 7 Hours
Today, you can say it is a download journey. You pass through some villages, terraced farmland, and traditional Tamang villages. The views of mountain vistas would be the part of your trek today. Overnight, stay at tented Camp in Borang.

Day 10: Borang to Jharlang (1,700 m)- 6 Hours
We trek through some Tamang villages and farmlands. The warm welcome by the village people would make you feel happy. Afternoon time, we reach the Tamang village of Jharlang where we set up a camp and stay for the night.

Day 11: Jharlang to Kintang Phedi (1,200 m)- 6 Hours
The descending takes place where you will be fascinated with eye-catching views of high hills and mixed cultures of local peoples. The countryside views are amazing. After a few hours of trekking, we reach Kintang Phedi where we tent a camp and stay for the night.

Day 12: Back to Kathmandu by Private Vehicle, 8-9 Hours
The ending day of the trek, we drive back to Kathmandu either by a private jeep or by a car. The driving would be fun because you can witness the real natural beauty of the surrounding area. Tonight, stay at the same hotel in the Thamel area, lunch and breakfast included.

Day 13. Departure Day
You can inform us if you wish to continue your trekking journey to other famous places of Nepal: Everest Base Camp trek, Annapurna Base Camp trek and many more. One of our staff will drop you to the Kathmandu International Airport.
