Tsum valley trek situated north part of Gorkha district and the trekking begins with 9 hours drive from Kathmandu to Aarughat bazaar. The Tsum valley is a holy Himalayan Pilgrimage trekking valley. The main religious conviction of the Tsum valley is Buddhist and the local residents of Gurungs. High-quality mug of the bordering refined regular coffee and Tatopani hot springs will assist you to settle down on this challenging experimentation.The word “Tsum” comes from the Tibetan speech “Tsombo” it means bright.
The part of internal Himalaya well-known as Upper Tsum valley trek starts from Chhokangparo where friendly locals welcome you with customary Tibetan Chiya mixed with Butter. Culturally rich Tsum valley scattered with Buddhist monasteries, Chortens & Mani walls. This valley is bordered by Buddha Himal and Himal Chuli to the west, Ganesh Himal to the south, and Sringi Mountains in the North. The Tsum valley trekking itinerary is the supper extra alternative trekking path in Nepal with loads collections of cultures, life styles of the Tsum valley of its best.
Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu
We Pick up you from kathmandu airport and transfer yout to Hotel. Evening trip broefin and meet your trek leader and make preparations for the Nepal Tsum valley Trek.
Day 02: kathmandy to Arughat Bazaar drive (9 hours drive)
Normally early morning drives starts from Kathmandu to Arughat Bazaar which will take 9 hours in bus. The famous local market place Arughat bazaar lies on the side Budi Gandaki River. Stay overnight at Arughat Bazaar.
Day 03: Arughat Bazzar to Soti Khola (7 hours walk)
Enjoying the views of Shringri Himal we trek to Soti Khola and will walk for 7 hours. We cross Gurung and magar traditional villages, rice fields and waterfalls. As you arrive Soti Khola we fixed our camp on the beach of Soti Khola.
Day 04: Soti Khola to Machha Khola (6 – 7 Hours walk)
Fallowing normal local trails this day we will trek to Machha Khola and walk 6 to 7 hours Machha Khola located just over the stream with same name.
Day 05: Machha Khola to Doban (6 Hours)
The trail to Doban from Machha Khola occupies few steps ascents and descents. We hike well – skilled stairway over the edge to Doban. Doban lies at the flowing together of the Shiar Khola, which flows from the east, and the Sarpu khola, which flows from the west. This day we will walk 7 hours in total.
Day 06: Doban to Philim (6:30 Hours walk)
This day trail mostly goes up through rocks. We obtain high-quality outlooks of Sringri himal as we carry on up to the town of Philim at 1550m.This is a great Gurung town with pastures of corn and millet. There are more than a few good campsites and we set up camp bounded by alder, azure pine, Poplar and oak trees.
Day 07: Philim to Chumling (Lower Tsum) – 7 hours walk
We fallow trail up through Philim and continue up over a point that guides to Ganesh Himal Base camp and Chumling( Lower Tsum). We camp for the night at Chumling. This is our 7 houes walking day.
Day 08: Chumling to Chhokangparo (Upper Tsum valley) (5 – 6 hours walk)
Today we slog from Chumling to Chhokangpore. The inner part of Himalayan called Tsum unlocks from chhokangpare which is placed on flat land made up of two settlement chhekam and paro. From this valley we can see direct view of ganesh himalayan range in the south and himal chuli peaks along with Baudha in the south west. We can have small village in hill as well
Day 9: chhokangpare to Nile/Chhule (6 – 7 Hours walk)
Visiting Milarepa Piren cave on the trail we trek to Nile or Chhule which is last town in the Upper Tsum valley.Stay overnight.
Day 10: On the trail we cross the Piren Phu cave. (5 Hours walk)
Piren Phu (pigeon cave) is one of the the majority holy cavern in the Tsum trekking valley. It is situated at the base of a rocky precipice close to the town of Burji. Milarepa, the renowned Tibetan saint, was supposed to have contemplated here. There are two divide Gumbas emotionally involved to the stony cave. Stunning observation can behave of the Shiar Khola, Rachen Gumba, the peaks and arrangements amidst huge farming soil. 7 hours walk and stay overnight
Day 11: Extra day for explore around.
This day we trek up to Mu Gumba and we arrive the base of Pika Himal (4865m). Here we are very close to Tibet and excellent sights of Tibetan mountains. Then we come back to camp at Mu Gumpa. We talk about 4 hours walking hike this day.
Day 12: Mu Gompa to Rachen Gompa
A 5 hours walking day from Mu Gompa to Rachen Gumba situated in the Shiar Khola calley and also foot hill of the bordering peaks of Nepal and Tibet. Rachen Gumba was founded in 1905AD which is biggest nunneries around the Tsum valley. 6 hours walk.
Day 13: Rachen Gompa to Dumje
From Rachen Gompa we go on towards Dumje, a tiny town with concerning eight houses and adjoining cattle shed. Our trek leads enjoying the green views and white peaks. 6 hours walk.
Day 14: Dumje to Philim
Crossing Ripchet we trek to Philim from Dumje. On the way we pass one of the mainly attractive waterfalls in the Lower Tsum Valley, Samba Tingding Chhupyang. 6 hours walk.
Day 15: Philim to Tatopani (6 – 7 hours)
From Phillim we trek to Tatopani. There is a hot spring at Tatopani. You can relieve your tired muscles by soaking yourself in the hot spring.
Day 16: Tatopani to Soti Khola (6 – 7 hours)
From Tatopani we trek to Soti Khola. We pass through terraced fields and tropical waterfalls and finally set up camp at the village.
Day 17: Trek soti Khola to Arughat Bazar (6 – 7 hours)
Starting trek early morning and walk for 7 hours we arrive to Arughat bazar to finish our trek. Over night stay at Arughat Bazar..
Day 18: Drive back Kathmandu from Arughat Bazaar (9 hours drive)
9 hoursdrive to Kathmandu with enjoying the green valley on the road.
Day 19: Depart Kathmandu.
Final Departure to Kathmandu airport from Hotel.
