Around Dhaulagiri Trek is an excellent panoramic trek around Dhaulagiri (8,167m) the seventh tallest mountain located in the North West from Pokhara. The Dhaulagiri trek route covers the massive Annapurna Himalayas and carves the world’s deepest gorge of Kaligandaki. Covering two high passes called Thapa pass(5,155m) and French Pass (5,240m) this trek acknowledge you snow and glacier walking generally around Italian Base Camp and Dhaulagiri north Base Camp. Along the way, you take breathing views of Dhaulagiri, Throng Peak, Annapurna and Kaligandaki river with the world’s deepest gorge. You also have an opportunity to observe the lifestyle of Nepal’s ethnic people such as a Gurung, Magars, and Chhetri.

Our Round Dhaulagiri Trek starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Beni.  The primarily days passes through out cultivated lands and connects with mountain traditional villages. As you arrive Dovan then the trail starts to climb and arrives at Italian Base Camp and goes on to icy French and Thapa passes which have to be measured before come down winding trail to yak Kharka. From here, after quite long descend you will reach Marpha. Marpha is the most popular village of Mustang district. Here you follow the classical Annapurna route to Jomsom and fly to Pokhara on the following day.

Arrive in Kathmandu(1,350 m)
Landing on the city of Temples, high hills, forest areas, and mountain ranges would be mesmerizing, the Dhaulagiri Round Circuit Trekking would be same. One of our Company Representative will be carrying signboard of our company with your name printed in the Airport. The Representative will take you to the standard hotel of Thamel. You can rest or roam around the Thamel area.

Day 02: Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu and Preparation for the Trek
The day is exciting with sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. Kathmandu is full of sightseeing area. ‘There’re multiple choices for the day. Our expert tour Leader would guide you around the Kathmandu Valley. We focus on UNESCO ‘World’s Heritage sites for the day tour. Early in the morning, we go to Pashupatinath temple then to Boudhanath. After having morning Lunch, we drive to Patan Durbar Square, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and finally in the evening time to the Monkey Temple- Swoyambhunath.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara (820 m)- 5-6 hours
From Kathmandu, we drive to Pokhara. The scenic drive would pleasure you with beautifying views of forest areas, villages, and high hills. In the evening time, we roam around Pokhara, especially Lakeside, because Lakeside is famous among all the travelers, and the beauty of Lakeside is mesmerizing. The views of Phewa lake would be the significant attraction of today’s day.

Day 04: Drive from Pokhara to Darbang (1,180 m): 5-6 hours
Our Journey starts here. We drive through off the road, cultivated lands, pass several Farm Villages and after 3 hours reach Darbang. The village is the entry gate for Dhaulagiri massif, Dhorpatan, and Dolpa area. We ascend the trail leaving the Myagdi river way down below. The trail takes towards the fabulous village where you can observe spectacular views of Putali and Ghurja Himal. Overnight stay at the lodge of Darbang, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Provided.

Day 05: Darbang to Sibang (1,750 m): 5-6 hours
Ascending for two hours will lead you to Dharapani (1,562 m) where you can observe spectacular views of Putha, Hiunchuli and Dhaulagiri ranges. The trail is then straight for one and half hour leading to Subang. The area is full of Gurung and Thakali Peoples. Overnight stay at the lodge of Sibang, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included.

Day 06: Sibang to Jugapani (2,000 m): 6-7 hours
Dar Khola is 3 hours away from Sibang. ‘Today’s trail is straight leading across the villages, hills, and bridge. From Dar Khola, we walk straight for four hours to reach Muri, which is a small village of Kamis. Kamis are the peoples residing in that area. You can get an outstanding landscape of Putha Hiunchuli and Dhaulagiri range from the city. After a few hours of straight and descending trial, we reach Jugapani where we stay for the night.

Day 07: Jugapani to Dobang (2,260 m): 4-5 hours
After an hour of steeply ascending trial, we reach the bank side of the river valley. The trail is wide and narrow. Few hours of trek will lead you towards Boghara village. From there, we walk through corn fields, villages, hills and finally reach to Lipshe where we have our Lunch. On trekking through the thick forest for 2-3 hours, we reach Dobang where we stay for the night.

Day 08: Dobang to Soligari (3,100 m): 4-5 hours
Today’s trail can be said as a forestry trail. We pass through the marvelous Botanical Gardens Walk. Crossing the Konabain Khola. Myagdi Khola on wooden bridges is interesting. Just after that, we reach Soligari where we stay for the night.

Day 09: Soligari to Italian Base Camp (3,600 m): 4-5 hours
Early in the morning, we start the trek walking along the Chhonbarban Glacier. You can observe spectacular landscapes of Tukche Peak (6,837 m) and Dhaulagiri range. Few hours of trekking ahead will lead you to Italian Base Camp. The Dhaulagiri massif can be easily observed from the place. Tonight stay at tented Camp of the Base Camp.

Day 10: Acclimatization Day at Italian Camp
The acclimatization day ‘doesn’t mean you need to sit on the same place the whole day, instead roam around the Base Camp. ‘That’s because you need to adjust to the surrounding environment. Going higher elevation, trekking down would be fun. Tonight stay at the camping site of Italian Camp.

Day 11: Italian BC to Chhonbardan Glacier Camp (4,200 m): 4-5 hours
Early in the morning, we trek to upper Valley towards Chhonbardan Glacier. ‘There’s a massive breach, and you should be very careful descending the moraine slope. You will get help from your Sherpa guides and porter in the trail a lot. It would feel so good when we reach American and French Base Camp. Walking through the back side of the river, we reach Chhonbardan Glacier where we accommodate our night, breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included.

Day 12: Chhonbardan Glacier Camp to Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4,600 m): 4-5 hours
Here comes another exciting day, 4-5 hours walk along the terrace, forest and hills will take you to the enchanting place in the earth: Dhaulagiri Base Camp. The Base Camp is a vast area to enjoy with the enchanting nature. The thrilling air would make you enjoy with the naturistic environment.

Day 13: Acclimatization Day at Dhaulagiri Base Camp
The second acclimatization day of the trek, you shall roam around the Base Camp. The pressure of the air is low, and the air gets thinner and thinner, with the increase in altitude. Explore the base camp. Overnight singing, dancing, and feast in the Tented Camp.

Day 14: Dhaulagiri Base Camp to Hidden Valley (5,050 m): 6-7 hours
The most exciting day of the trek, we trek to the hidden valley today. Today’s trekking would be so much excited and fun. The trail is steep leading towards the Crest of the French Pass at an elevation of 5,400 m. It takes approximately 4 and a half hours to reach there. The trail descends, and you can observe Prayers flag and dashing landscapes of the surrounding. After a few hours, we reach Hidden Valley at 5,050 m. Overnight stay at Tented Camp, breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner included.

Day 15: Hidden Valley to Yak Kharka (3,680 m) via Dhampus Pass (5,200 m)
After having early breakfast, we head towards Yak Kharka. The trail is curvy, and you need to cross the narrow path of Dhampus Pass. It takes two full hours to reach Dhamous Pass. Slowly, then we head forward towards Kaligandaki valley. You can witness spectacular landscapes of Tukuche peaks and Nilgiri Himal on the trail. Few hours walk from there will take us to Yak Kharka where we stay overnight in a tented camp.

Day 16: Yak Kharka to Jomsom (2,800 m): 3 hours
Today we walk for an hour to reach Jomsom, which is also called as the desert of Nepal. We will take rest and roam around the Jomsom whole day. Overnight stay at Jomsom.

Day 17: Fly/Drive Jomsom to Pokhara: Flight 25 minute/7-8 hour drive
We can either fly to Pokhara after having Breakfast at Jomsom and roam the remaining time there or can drive to Pokhara from Jomsom. Driving takes around 8 hours to reach Pokhara. Tonight stay at a standard hotel of Pokhara.

Day 18: Fly/drive to Kathmandu from Pokhara: 35-minute flight/5-6 hours
If you already experienced flying Pokhara to Kathmandu, then you may go for Driving which nearly takes 6 and half hours. It would please you with scenic landscapes of mountains, hills, suspension bridges, and forest areas. We stay at a standard hotel of Thamel for the night.

Day 19: Final Departure
‘It’s a Goodbye Day. You will be taken to Airport 2 hours before your flight by our Representative. You may inform us earlier if you wish to extend trekking in Nepal to other famous destinations like Everest Base Camp Trek, Annapurna Base Camp Trek and many more.
